It has strong resistance to chloride corrosion, high thermal conductivity, and low coefficient of thermal expansion. The high content of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen gives it high resistance to spot corrosion, crack corrosion, and other corrosion. The excellent comprehensive performance of F55 dual phase steel is superior to that of ordinary dual phase steel

F55N17 dual phase steel has strong strength and corrosion resistance, mainly used in chemical processing, petrochemical industry, and underwater equipment.
F55N17 dual phase steel can withstand various inorganic and organic acids, and its added copper element gives it excellent resistance to non oxidizing acid corrosion. F55 is also resistant to strong alkaline corrosion. However, F55 dual phase steel is not suitable for use at long-term operating temperatures above 300 ºC, as the toughness of the material will significantly decrease above this temperature
